C-USA Unveils 2018 Hoops Champ Logo

IRVING, Texas – Conference USA has officially released the championship mark for the 2018 Conference USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at the Star (ST&R).  The Championship mark represents the first-ever event of its kind to be held at Ford Center at The Star, the premiere practice facility of the Dallas Cowboys.

Bringing several elements together in a design that represented Conference USA with a Texas feel was essential. Highlighted by the 24 men's and women's basketball teams that will participate in the tournament, the championship mark reflects the key components of this event, including recognition for the host city of Frisco and the state-of-the-art host facility Ford Center at the Star. It also incorporates our partnership with Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at the Star.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Frisco will offer a bundle of on-site branding, media assets and community engagement around the 2018 C-USA Basketball Championships. Highlights include the Fan Fest to be held in the Star’s plaza area and a demonstration of the Baylor Scott & White injury prevention and sports performances solutions and systems. Fans from across the league will enjoy college basketball at its best, a unique experience that the conference has nicknamed "Hoops at The Star.” The hashtag #HoopsAtTheStar will be used on social media platforms.

The 2018 Conference USA Basketball Championships are scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, through Saturday, March 10, with all 22 games – 11 men’s and 11 women’s games – being held at The Star. The conference champions receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research at The Star (ST&R) will be a world-class sports medicine facility opening in early 2018.  On site will be a Sports Performance Center dedicated to athletes at all levels ranging from amateurs to nationally prominent professional sports figures.  In addition, there will be an Urgent Care Center, Imaging Center, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Outpatient Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, Primary Care, and more.  At the ST&R, athletes will have access to tools that help enhance physical performance, gain education and training on injury prevention, as well as treatment options for injury recovery.
