NORFOLK, Va. – No. 2 seed Florida Atlantic advances after taking down No. 7 seed Middle Tennessee in an overtime thriller. The game was at a 1-1 deadlock until the Owls’ Emma Grissom scored the game-winner just three minutes into the first overtime period.

Middle Tennessee’s Amber Hoot struck first 40 minutes in, assisted by 2018 Offensive Player of the Year Peyton DePriest. Tiril Haga scored the equalizer for Florida Atlantic just before the 60^th minute to send the match to overtime.
 
Florida Atlantic will face the winner of Match 2 between No. 3 UAB and No. 6 Southern Miss in the semifinals of the 2018 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Women's Soccer Championship on Friday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 ET. All remaining games will be streamed on ESPN+.
