NORFOLK, Va. – No. 6 seed Southern Miss defeated No. 3 seed UAB 1-0 to earn their first trip to the C-USA Semifinals since 1999. This marks the first 12-win season in Golden Eagles’ history as well. Miah Zuazua scored the game winner in the 78^th minute.

The game remained scoreless going into the second half. It remained tight until Zuazua netted it in to seal the victory. Southern Miss held a two-shot advantage over the Blazers. Golden Eagles’ goalkeeper Kendell Mindnich made four saves.
 
No. 6 Southern Miss will face No. 2 Florida Atlantic in the semifinals of the 2018 Air Force Reserve Conference USA Women's Soccer Championship on Friday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 ET. All remaining games will be streamed on ESPN+.
