The game time for the 2018 Conference USA Football Championship has been set, the C-USA office and CBS Sports Network have announced. Kickoff for the league’s 14th annual Championship Game on Saturday, December 1 will be 1:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. CT and it will be televised for the first time by the league’s longtime broadcast partner, CBS Sports Network. This also marks the first time CBS Sports Network will air any football conference championship game.
The C-USA Championship Game will feature champions from the East and West divisions of the league. The team with the highest league winning percentage will serve as host site for the game.
Nine different schools have hosted the first 13 championship games and nine schools have been crowned champions. Last season, Florida Atlantic became the second school (WKU in 2015) to win the championship game after going undefeated in the regular season, posting a 41-17 win over North Texas.
Five conference games are on this weekend’s schedule in C-USA, beginning with Friday night’s East Division showdown between Middle Tennessee and Marshall. CBS Sports Network will televise that game at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT from Huntington, West Virginia.
