NORFOLK, Va. – No. 1 seed North Texas is headed to the conference championship for the second year in a row after winning 3-2 in a penalty kick shootout against No. 4 Louisiana Tech following regulation and double overtime. Goalkeeper Kelsey Brann made three crucial stops throughout the match to send the Mean Green to the finals.

The game was tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation with North Texas’ Olivia Klein striking first in the 38^th minute. The Lady Techsters responded after the half with a goal from Alexandra Augustyn to send it into overtime. Neither team could connect in two overtime periods, sending it to penalty kicks, where the Mean Green prevailed.
