Jamil Roberts earned his first Conference USA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award of the season after totaling eight points this week. Charlotte’s
Elliot Panicco was named Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in 2018 for his two shutout performances. All C-USA weekly awards are presented by Top of the World Headwear.

C-USA Offensive Player of the Week – Jamil Roberts, Marshall, So., Langport, England
Roberts totaled eight points in two wins for the Herd this week. In a 2-1 victory at South Carolina, Roberts played a part in both goals. The sophomore scored one of them and tallied an assist on the other. The most important goal came in double overtime, securing the win and a spot in the conference tournament. Against Florida Atlantic, he netted two goals and recorded an assist in the 5-1 victory. The two wins gave Marshall six crucial points to give them the No. 5 seed in the upcoming C-USA championship.
C-USA Defensive Player of the Week – Elliot Panicco, Charlotte, R-Jr., Huntersville, North Carolina
Panicco earned his second consecutive weekly award and third overall after tallying five saves in two home shutouts for the 49ers. The redshirt junior tallied all five in a 4-0 win over Florida Atlantic to kick off the week. Panicco played an integral role in a 49ers defense that didn’t allow a goal at home this season while posting nine home shutouts and 12 overall.
