The appointment culminates a monumental year for C-USA. In 2017-18, the league adopted an innovative and extensive multimedia rights deal, which provides substantial exposure and increased revenue for its 14 members, and successfully conducted its annual basketball championships to The Star in Frisco, Texas. The conference also produced a record nine bowl teams and enjoyed continued achievement on the hardwood as Marshall provided the conference with its fourth-consecutive NCAA Tournament first-round win.

“I am honored to be selected to serve on the committees,” Commissioner MacLeod said. “The opportunity to impact the collegiate landscape in a positive manner is a privilege, and I am looking forward to advancing student-athlete well-being programming and strategic initiatives for the membership.”

The Division I Council is a high-level group responsible for the day-to-day decision-making for the Division I membership.

The Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee ensures that appropriate oversight of men’s basketball is maintained, while enhancing development of the sport and making recommendations relative to regular-season and postseason men’s basketball. The committee is composed of 12 voting members and four nonvoting members.
