Anthony was instrumental in Louisiana Tech’s takedown of [RV] UAB in conference play this week. One of the nation’s hottest scorers muscled 35 points leading to a 73-68 win in Blazer territory. The win also snapped UAB’s 10-game winning streak. The senior sunk 16-of-34 shots from the field at a 47 percent clip to pair with a season-high eight boards, two steals and two assists. She scored 15 of her points in the fourth quarter and 11 of those in the final five minutes when LA Tech found itself trailing 65-55. Freshman of the Week
Taylor Sutton, Middle Tennessee
Freshman, 5-4, PG, Atlanta, Ga.

The second Lady Raider to claim honors this week, Sutton crafted a pair of influential performances by averaging 15 points, 1.5 assists and one steal in wins over Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech.
