DALLAS – No. 21 Marshall posted two road wins following their historic jump in the national polls this week and swept the Conference USA Player of the Week awards.
Milo Yosef received the offensive nod after his nine-point performance across both matches.
Paulo Pita, who continues to be a wall in goal for the Thundering Herd, earned defensive honors. All weekly awards are presented by Top of the World.
C-USA Offensive Player of the Week – Milo Yosef, Marshall, R-Fr., Aachen, Germany
Yosef tallied nine points in a two-game swing in California. Of his six shots on goal, four made it past the keeper. The redshirt freshman netted two against LMU and added on an assist to clinch the 4-1 victory. At San Diego State, he posted a second-half brace in a 5-1 win. His four scores propelled him to the league lead with 10 on the season. He also leads C-USA with 21 points.
C-USA Defensive Player of the Week – Paulo Pita, Marshall, R-Sr., Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Pita earned two wins in goal on the road. The redshirt senior recorded a .714 save percentage, only allowing two goals on the weekend. Pita made three saves to secure a 4-1 victory for the Thundering Herd at LMU. He followed it up with two stops against San Diego State in a 5-1 win. The Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil, product now has 10 wins in 2019.
