NORFOLK, Va. – No. 4 seed Kentucky defeated No. 5 seed Florida Atlantic 2-0 to advance to the semifinals of the 2019 Conference USA Men’s Soccer Championship.

In a match that remained scoreless until the very end, the Wildcats held a 17-11 advantage in shots. Two freshman ultimately decided the match. Eythor Bjorgolfsson finally found the back of the net with one and a half minutes left on the clock to give Kentucky a 1-0 advantage. Jansen Wilson added another goal 14 seconds later to seal the Wildcats’ victory. Florida Atlantic’s Hagay Jalon and Kentucky’s Enrique Facusse both recorded five saves in goal.
 
Kentucky will take on No. 1 seed Marshall in the semifinals round at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 15 on ESPN+. The Thundering Herd triumphed over the Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Nov. 3 during the regular season.
