In the league’s first double overtime championship match since 2010, it looked to be anyone’s game throughout. Charlotte held a 7-3 advantage in shots after the first half. Marshall evened it up after the break, outshooting Charlotte 7-2. Neither team was able to find the back of the net during regulation or through the first overtime period. Finally, Dolabella scored off of a Jonas Westmeyer corner kick to clinch the win and the automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament for the Thundering Herd.

Marshall, and C-USA teams looking for an at-large bid, await the 2019 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship selection show at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT on Monday, November 18.
