DENTON, Texas – 2018 Conference USA Champion and No. 2 seed North Texas defeated No. 7 seed UTEP 3-1 to progress to the semifinals, as they have every year as a member of C-USA.

The Mean Green entered a weather delay with a 2-1 lead off goals from Berklee Peters and Desiree Ramirez. When the two teams resumed play, Peters struck again to extend the North Texas lead to 3-1, which would be enough to seal a victory. UTEP’s Emily Parrott made 7 saves in the loss.
 
North Texas advances to the semifinals of the 2019 C-USA Women’s Soccer Championship on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. CT, where they will play No. 3 seed Rice. The two faced off just last week in what ended as a 0-0 draw to close out their respective regular seasons.
