The first half was a defensive battle that ended 0-0. Bella Killgore made four saves for the Owls and 2019 C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year Kelsey Brann notched two for the Mean Green. North Texas turned on the scoring after halftime with one goal from Allie Byrd and one from Berklee Peters, her third of the championship thus far. The two scores were enough to seal a victory in a rematch of a regular-season contest that ended in a 0-0 draw.
