Anastasia Hayes is the lone sophomore named to the first team. Four of the first team selections were also on last season’s All-C-USA first team (Ogwumike, Mulkey, Childress and Givens).

Strong guard play in the league this season is reflected by seven of the 16 all-conference spots going to that position. There are a pair of guard/forwards, four forwards and two centers that round out the 16-person squad. Overall, 10 different schools placed at least one player on at least one of the two units. The group is compiled of 10 seniors, two juniors, three sophomores and one graduate student.
Middle Tennessee’s
Aislynn Hayes, a seven-time C-USA Freshman of the Week selection, headlines the conference’s All-Freshman team, joined by standout rookie performers from Marshall, Rice, UTEP and UTSA.
The C-USA five member All-Defensive Team consists of a pair of stop down standouts from Rice, along with players from Charlotte, Old Dominion, and WKU.
The Conference USA Superlative awards for Freshman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Sixth Player of the Year will be announced Tuesday. The C-USA Player of the Year and the Coach of the Year will be unveiled on Wednesday.
