HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – No. 2 Jax State (22-11, 12-6 CUSA) secured a spot in the championship final with a victory over No. 3 MTSU (22-11, 12-6 CUSA) 70-68 in the semifinal round of the 2025 CUSA Championship Friday afternoon at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center.
 
Freshman guard Quel’Ron House popped off for a team-high 20 points on a 60 percent clip from the field. CUSA Player of the Year Jaron Pierre Jr. had 14 second half points to push the Gamecocks to another close victory. Pierre finished with 19 points, four boards and three assists.
 
Jax State will match up with top-seeded Liberty in Saturday’s championship game, which tips at 7:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network.
