Conference USA will host its third football championship game in 2007. The team with the highest winning percentage will serve as host site for the event. The title game will feature champions from the East and West Division of the league. East Carolina, Marshall, Memphis, Southern Miss, UAB and UCF will compete in the East, while Houston, Rice, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa and UTEP will contend in the West.

UCF and Houston have hosted the first two championship games and both were played in front of record-setting crowds.

Tulsa claimed the C-USA inaugural crown in 2005. With Houston capturing the 2006 championship, the Cougars became the sixth different team to earn the C-USA title since 2002. Tulsa won it in 2005, Louisville in 2004, Southern Miss in 2003 and Cincinnati and TCU shared the crown in 2002.

C-USA TIEBREAKER
Home field for the C-USA Championship Game will be awarded to the team that posts the highest regular season winning percentage against conference opposition. The first tiebreaker is the winner of a head-to-head match-up. If the two teams did not play during the regular season, the team with the highest BCS ranking would receive the nod.
