A total of 13 Conference USA schools have released their Women's Basketball signees for the early period, as of Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Those signees are listed below. Check back over the next couple of days, as this list will be updated.



Charlotte
Tyhiesha Smith F 5-11 Augusta, Ga. (Glenn Hills)
-- Named to the Nike All-America and Street and Smith's honorable mention All-America teams after leading Glenn Hills High School to the state title in 2003.

Tameka Smith F 6-1 Dallas, Texas (Lincoln)
-- Rated as the No. 23 forward in the nation, according to the All Star Girls Report. Texas, while Roundball Journal lists her as the 18th-ranked player in the Lone Star State for 2004 ? as a freshman, helped Lincoln High School
to a state championship and runner-up finishes the past two seasons.

Whitney Hoey G 5-5 Cowpens, S.C. (Broome County)
-- Named a Nike All-American in 2003, after averaging 22.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game at Broome High School and earned AAA all-state honors from the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association for the third year in a row.

Sabrina Gregory G 5-9 Fayetteville, N.C. (E.E. Smith)
-- Averaged 14 points, four rebounds and two assists to earn first-team All-Two
Rivers Conference ? led E.E. Smith High School to go undefeated in conference play and won their league tournament ? earned a spot on North Carolina's Junior Olympic squad, a team comprised of the top 12 players in the state of North
Carolina.

Traci Glawson F 6-0 Monticello, Ga. (Jasper County)
-- Rated 30th in the nation at power forward by the All Star Girls Report ? helped Jasper County High School post a 26-3 record, averaging 15 points per game.

Cincinnati
Alicia Avery C 6-6 Columbus, Ohio (Columbus Mifflin)
-- Listed as one of the top 100 recruits in her class by Blue Star Basketball ? named an honorable mention All-American last season by Street & Smith?s and was invited to attend the Nike All-America Camp this summer.

Kristi Brogan G 5-10 Hilliard, Ohio (Hilliard)
-- Named an honorable mention all-state honoree last year after scoring 17 points per game, making 41 percent of her three-point attempts ? a two-time member of both the all-league and all-district teams.

Ashley Brown F 6-0 Wilberforce, Ohio (Xenia)
-- Named second team all-state as a sophomore and honorable mention all-state last year after averaging 17.1 points and 11.7 rebounds a game ? a two-time honorable mention All-American by Street & Smith?s and is among the top 50 players in her class according to the All-Star Girls Report ? was also invited to the Nike All-America Camp last summer.

Erin Carney F 6-1 Flint, Mich. (St. Francis)
-- Averaged 19.8 points and 17.3 rebounds per game in addition to 4.3 steals per contest at St. Francis ? played her first three seasons at Flint Power Catholic High School where she averaged 10.8 points and 7.7 boards per game ? just 50 rebounds short of 1,000 in her high school career.

Allie Quigley G 5-10 Joliet, Ill. (Joliet Catholic Academy)
-- A three-sport standout, was an honorable mention All-American by Street and Smith in 2003 and is ranked No. 78 on Blue Star's top 100 seniors ? earned all-state mention by the Associated Press, Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune last season after averaging 28 points per game ? also invited to play at the elite Nike Camp in Indianapolis this summer.

Caprice Smith F 6-2 River Forrest, Ill. (Trinity)
-- Led Trinity High School to the first Elite Eight appearance in school history last season while averaging 21.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game ? received first team all-state honors from the Chicago Sun-Times, Champaign News-Gazette, Chicago Tribune and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association ? ranked No. 29 in the Blue Star Index Top 100 seniors and No. 50 by the All Star Girls Report ? attended the Nike All-America Camp this past summer and the adidas Top Ten Camp where she was an underclassmen All-Star in 2002.

-- Averaged 21 points and 14 rebounds per game last season ? earned first-team All-Mideastern Conference honors, first-team Wilmington Star News and was a finalist for NCHSAA Miss Basketball for 3A last season ? also named Pender Chronicle Female Athlete of the Year.

-- Ranked as the 4th best player in the Washington D.C. metro area and No. 19th best wing player by the All-Star Girls Report ? a member of the 16 and under National AAU National Champions Silkettes in 2002.

Kanani Marshal G 5-9 Madison, Wis. (Odessa College)
--Listed as one of the top five Junior College guards in the country ? Last season at Odessa, averaged 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game.

Kadi Creel C 6-3 Duncanville (Duncanville)
--Ranked as one of the Top 100 recruits in the nation by All Star Girls Report, and is listed as the No. 17 power forward in the country ? named an Adidas All-American and 2003 Street-Smith's Magazine Honorable Mention All American.

Jasmin Moore G 5-7 Houston, Texas (Langham Creek)
-- Averaged 17.3 points per game while shooting 87.3 percent from the free throw line last season ? earned all-district as a junior after averaging 10.2 points per game.

Sveta Kovalenko F 6-3 Chassel, Mich. (Houghton)
-- Named a Class C First-Team All-State team member by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and was listed No. 16 on the top 100 Players list by the Detroit Free Press ? currently averages 19.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Savanna Anderson G 6-1 Oshkosh, Wis. (Oshkosh West)
-- Helped lead her team to an undefeated season in 2002-03 and a state championship for Oshkosh West High School ? averaged 11.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as a junior, leading her to an All-State Honorable Mention selection by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Memphis
Jessica Hall G 5-8 Tallahassee, Fla. (FAMU)
-- Was a 2003 Street and Smith All-American honorable mention pick after shooting 59 percent behind the arc, and totaling 266 treys ? during her junior season, surpassed 2,000 points and was also named to the All-State Class A first-team as well as All-Big Bend Area Player of the Year.

-- Ranked as one of the top 35 centers in the country according to the All-Star Girls Report ? averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds as a junior ? invited to participate in the 2003 Adidas Top Ten All-American camp.

-- Named an all-conference and all-area selection as a junior ? averaged 12 points, three rebounds and five assists last season.

Heather King G/F 5-11 Palos Hills, Ill. (Amos Alonzo Stagg)
-- Averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per game, while shooting 52 percent from the field as a junior ? selected to the Chicago Sun-Times All-Area team and was twice a first-team all-conference selection ? selected to the adidas Top Ten All-American Camp and holds the school record for points scored in a season.

Hayley Leake G 5-6 Silex, Mo. (Silex)
-- As a junior, averaged 22 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals ?
led Silex High School to the 2001 State Championship as a freshman ? named a three-time all-district selection and two-time all-conference selection? earned County Player of the Year honors in 2002-03.

-- Tabbed the Hillsborough County Player of the Year by the Tampa Tribune ? helped Tampa Bay Tech to a 23-4 record and an appearance in the state regional semifinals where the Titans lost to Bradenton Southeast 58-43.

-- Named All-North Suburban Conference - for the second consecutive year - and was tabbed a second team All-Metro selection ? attended, the prestigious Adidas Top 10 All-America Camp in which the top 200 scholastic players in America attend each year.

-- Averaged 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds as a junior ? named first team all county as a junior and received first team all-conference honors for two straight seasons ? helped her team win the regional championships and finished the 2002-03 season with a 23-2 record.

Kelsey Gurganus G 5-9 Indianapolis, Ind. (Perry Meridian)
-- Averaged 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds as a junior and received all-conference honors last season ? named all-country, all-area and all-state honorable mention after helping her team to the state championship.

Jenae Jackson F 6-0 Centreville, Miss. (Centreville Academy)
-- Named to the Natchez Democrat all-metro team after averaged 15.0 points and 9.0 rebounds as a junior ? received first team all-district honors as a junior and second team honors during her sophomore season. She was voted her team's best defensive player as a sophomore and her team's best offensive player last season.

-- Averaged 20.0 points and 9.0 rebounds at The Colony, Texas High School ? helped her team advance to the second round of the state playoffs in 2003.

-- Averaged 14 points and 11 rebounds per game last season ... attended the Nike All-American Camp and the adidas All-American Camp ? was a first-team all-state honoree and picked up a spot on the Los Angeles Times Dream Team.

Marissa Rivera F 6-2 Chula Vista, Calif. (Lajolla County Day)
-- Averaged 16 points per outing, 14 rebounds and four blocks for Lajolla Country Day High School ? snared first-team all-state recognition, and All Star Girls Report ranked her as one of the top 125 recruits in the country.

-- Averaged a double-double in points and rebounds her junior year with 15.6 points and 10 rebounds. She was an all-district selection each of the last two years and was named MVP of the John Ehret Tournament last season.

-- A three-time first team All-District 7-2A choice who was an honorable mention all-state choice following her junior season ? averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists per game as a junior.
