Conference USA announced its 2010 All-Conference football teams today, as selected by the league's 12 head football coaches. All 12 schools were represented with at least one overall selection and 11 placed at least one player on first team. C-USA champion UCF and West Division champion SMU produced the most total selections with eight and the most first team choices with five. Bowl bound teams Southern Miss and Tulsa each had the second-highest number of total selections with seven, while East Carolina and Houston both produced six.

The Knights first team selections include three on its league-leading defense. Defensive lineman Bruce Miller (55 tackles, 11.5 TFL's, seven sacks) is joined by defensive backs Kemal Ishmael (team-high 82 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles) and Josh Robinson (55 tackles, two interceptions, team-best 14 passes defended). Offensive lineman Jah Reid and kickoff returner Quincy McDuffie (league-high 32.7 avg. and two returns for touchdowns) also earned first team honors.

SMU has three first-teamers from its offense and two from its defense. Sophomore RB Zach Line earned a place after leading the league in rushing (1,391 yards) and scoring 10 touchdowns. Junior OL Kelvin Beachum, who helped pave the way for Line to gain those yards, was listed along with senior WR Aldrick Robinson (league-high 1,225 yards and a league-best-tying 13 receiving touchdowns).

Southern Miss had a pair of offensive selections and a special teams choice. Senior OL Cameron Zipp and senior TE Johdrick Morris represent the high-powered Golden Eagle offense, while Lou Groza Award finalist Danny Hrapmann is first team All-C-USA kicker. Hrapmann has set new school records for field goals (26) and kick scoring (130).

Tulsa's first team all-league choices include one each on offense, defense and special teams. Junior QB G.J. Kinne (3,307 yards and 28 TD passes), freshman DB Marco Nelson (81 tackles and a league-high-tying six interceptions) and Damaris Johnson represent the Golden Hurricane. Nelson is the league's only first team freshman selection, while Johnson is first team at punt returner and second team at wide receiver and as a kick returner. East Carolina's selections are highlighted by senior Dwayne Harris, a first team all-league performer at both wide receiver and punt returner. He has set ECU single-season records with 1,055 receiving yards and 93 receptions, while catching 10 TD passes on the season. Harris is joined on the first team by senior OL Willie Smith.

Houston had three first team choices and Marshall had two, both on defense. The Cougars selections included junior RB Bryce Beall (870 yards, 12 rushing TD's), junior OL Chris Thompson and junior WR Patrick Edwards (1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns). Edwards was also named second team as a punt returner. The Thundering Herd's productive defensive duo of junior DE Vinny Curry and senior LB Mario Harvey are listed on the first team unit. Curry led C-USA in sacks with 12 and registered 94 total tackles, while Harvey registered 143 stops, 17.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.

Memphis senior LB Jamon Hughes, Tulane senior DB Philip Davis and UAB junior OL Matt McCants round out the first team selections. Hughes tallied 147 tackles this season to rank fourth ion school history, Davis led C-USA in passes defended with 15 and McCants helped the Blazers offense average 422.8 yards per game.
