In the championship match, North Texas freshman Michael Cotton caught fire in the championship round, making quick work of fellow freshman Taylor Eyster of UAB as Cotton nailed a long putt on the 14th hole to go up five and win the point. UAB senior standout and 2014 C-USA Golfer of the Year Paul Dunne responded with a big win over sophomore Alejandro Villasana when he went up five with three holes remaining. 2015 C-USA Men's Golf individual medalist Juan Munoz moved North Texas' lead to 2-1 when he won his match against junior Martin Rohwer on hole 17. The dramatics then moved back to hole one, where sophomore Cory Churchman of North Texas and UAB freshman Lee Hodges were forced into a sudden-death playoff after finishing 18 holes all-square. Churchman took the hole to seal the 2015 C-USA Men's Golf Championship for the Mean Green.

In the UAB-UTEP semifinal showdown, Miner senior Roberto Ruiz edged Hodges in a one-hole playoff to claim the first point for UTEP. Dunne leveled the score for UAB when he went up four with three holes to play over senior Martin Simonsen of UTEP. The Miners reclaimed the lead in another one-hole playoff as sophomore Frederik Dreier topped Eyster. UAB junior Will Cannon won his match 1UP against UTEP freshman Nicklas Pihl, putting all eyes on the final pairing. Rohwer pushed the Blazers into the championship match when he went up two over senior Jere Pelletier on the 17th hole.

The North Texas-Charlotte semifinal saw three-straight points decided on the 16th hole. Sophomore Victor Wiggins put the 49ers on the board first with victory over Villasana. The Mean Green answered with the next two points as Churchman and Cotton defeated sophomore Seth Gandy and junior Riley Davenport, respectively. The 49ers appeared poised for an upset of top-seeded North Texas with Munoz down two with two holes to play to Charlotte junior Thomas Rowland, and Mean Green senior Jason Roets down one to Raoul Menard on the 18th hole. Roets buried a birdie putt to push his match to extra holes and was on his second playoff hole when word came that Munoz birdied 17 and 18 to win his point and clinch the match for North Texas.

The 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Golf regional selections will be announced Monday, May 4 live on Golf Channel's Morning Drive at 9 a.m. CDT.
