BOCA RATON, Florida – No. 8 Charlotte continued its Cinderella run in this year’s C-USA Women’s Soccer Championship with their 1-0 win over No. 4 Louisiana Tech.

LA Tech goalie Courtney Tompkins held off 2017 Offensive Player of the Year Martha Thomas of Charlotte in the first half, but in the 59th minute, the 49ers got on the board with what would be the game-winner.
 
Thomas worked the whole game to get Charlotte ahead with seven shots, including three on goal. This goal was Thomas’s fourth game-winner in conference play and second of the tournament.
 
Charlotte will play in the championship game against the winner of North Texas-Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. EST. The game will be available on ESPN3.
