BOCA RATON, Florida – No. 8 Charlotte continued its Cinderella run in this year’s C-USA Women’s Soccer Championship with their 1-0 win over No. 4 Louisiana Tech.

LA Tech goalie Courtney Tompkins held off 2017 Offensive Player of the Year Martha Thomas of Charlotte in the first half, but in the 59^th minute, the 49ers got on the board with what would be the game-winner.
 
Thomas worked the whole game to get Charlotte ahead with seven shots, including three on goal. This goal was Thomas’s fourth game-winner in conference play and second of the tournament.
 
Charlotte will play in the championship game against the winner of North Texas-Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. EST. The game will be available on ESPN3.
