Katie Manring is a sophomore transfer from Campbell who provided a spark for Charlotte throughout her first campaign as a 49er. After being named to the Chancellor's and Athletic Director's lists in fall 2018, the North Carolina native led her squad in runs, RBI, total bases and home runs, while posting a perfect 4.0 as an elementary education major. The outfield was also named to the C-USA Honor Roll and Commissioner's Academic Medal list.
Meredith Harris returns to the all-academic roster after garnering the honor in 2017. The two-time recipient is now a 4.0 graduate student working toward an MBA and serves as the everyday starter at first base for the Niners. The infielder topped the squad's marks for home runs, doubles, RBI and slugging percentage in 2019. Harris is a five-time Perfect Niner, six-time Chancellor's List, seven-time AD's List and four-time C-USA Honor Roll and Academic Medal recipient.
Emma Ocker polished off a 3.855 GPA as an elementary education major with a minor in American studies, all while captaining Charlotte and playing 49 games of its games as a left fielder. The senior has collected multiple academic honors, including being named to the AD's List seven times and the school's Chancellor's List five semesters in a row. Ocker's powered a team-high five triples in her final season, good for second among all C-USA players.
Jolie Duffner is a Florida Atlantic junior with a 3.989 GPA registered as a health science major. The Owls' mainstay third baseman, Duffner joined the squad last season as a transfer from Mizzou and has held the highest GPA on the team since her first semester. She is a C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and Honor Roll member and led the Owls in triples and ranked inside the top-five in hits, RBI, doubles and putouts.
Morgan Turkoly is a household name in Ruston and has decorated an illustrious career at Louisiana Tech. The senior outfielder was named the league's 2019 Preseason Player of the Year after being voted the 2018 Player of the Year, and is one of 10 finalists for the coveted Senior CLASS award. She is a three-year team captain and was highlighted on USA Softball's Top 50 Watch List for National Player of the Year in early 2019. A three-time C-USA All-Academic winner, Turkoly inked a 3.717 GPA as an accounting major and is now working on her MBA. The Texas product now ranks in the program's top 10 in hits, RBI, batting average, slugging percentage, doubles, stolen bases and home runs, and lifted the team to its first-ever C-USA Regular-Season Co-Championship on Sunday.
Marshall junior
Kailee Williamson tossed more than 100 innings in the circle for the Thundering Herd this season, all while maintaining the highest GPA on the team, a 3.80 in accounting studies. The California product is a three-time C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic Medal recipient, and two-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete. She posted a career-best four shutouts and the team's second-best ERA in 2018.
Middle Tennessee junior
Lexi Cushing worked a 3.743 GPA with majors in business administration, economics and finance. The first baseman started all games for the Blue Raiders in 2019 and leads the pack in batting average and home runs. She serves as the program's career and single-season home runs leader and is a two-time NFCA All-American Academic Scholar.
Nicole Ochotnicki has put in work behind the plate and beyond this season, serving as North Texas' catcher through all games while posting a 3.918 GPA in kinesiology. She's thrown out 170 runners with 21 assists throughout her career and this season has drawn the team's third-highest amount of walks. Her offensive and defensive effort helped the Mean Green eclipse the program's single-season win total and capture its first-ever regular-season championship.
The first of two all-academic Golden Eagles,
Samantha Papp was voted to the team for the second year in a row. Aside from posting an unblemished 4.0 GPA in curriculum and instruction, the catcher has also lifted Southern Miss to postseason contention in 2019, playing in every game. She is the battery for a Southern Miss pitching staff that features four newcomers and ranks in C-USA's top 10 in fielding percentage, putouts and chances. Teammate and senior
Chase Nelson makes her first appearance on the team after marking a 3.829 in communication studies. The Arkansas native has muscled a near perfect fielding percentage and leads the team in hits and triples.
Bailee Baldwin is no stranger to the all-academic roster as a three-time honoree. The senior worked a 3.95 in her criminal justice studies and played in every game for the Roadrunners this season. She is perfect in her seven stolen base attempts and leads the team in slugging percentage, runs, RBI, triples, home runs and total bases. She is a four-time Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic Medal recipient.
