Jordan Walker was named the Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Additionally, North Texas’
Aaron Scott, was selected as the C-USA Freshman of the Week for the third time this season. The 2021-22 C-USA Players of the Week awards are presented by Surf & Turf Golf and are voted on by the league’s men’s basketball communications directors.

After earning Conference USA Player of the Week honors for the first time this past week, Jordan Walker set yet another new career-high with 36 points in UAB's road victory at LA Tech on Saturday. Walker's career-high 36 points came behind clinical shooting from behind the arc, tying a school record with nine made 3-pointers. His 36 points tied a Thomas Assembly Center record and his nine 3-pointers set a new Thomas Assembly Center record. The win snapped LA Tech's 18-game home winning streak and marked UAB's first-ever victory in Ruston. Walker finished Saturday's contest with 36 points, three rebounds, two assists while shooting 9-of-15 from 3-point range and 9-of-10 from the free throw line. Walker has now scored 20 points or more in four straight games and has scored 17+ in all but one Conference USA contest this season. Walker's 21.43 points per game in league play ranks second in the C-USA. He also ranks first in the conference in total 3-pointers made (30) and 3-pointers made per game (4.29). Lastly, Walker's performance helped catapult the Blazers into a tie for first place in Conference USA's West Division at 6-1.

Two-time C-USA Freshman of the Week honoree Scott had a season-high 13 rebounds on Thursday in the Mean Green’s win over Charlotte. It’s the most rebounds in a single game by a C-USA freshman this season and the most by a UNT player in a single game this year. It was also the third time he’s had a 10+ rebound performance this season. Along with his 13 rebounds on Thursday he had seven points and two blocks in the win.
