DALLAS – Conference USA announced 11 student-athletes to its 2022 C-USA Volleyball All-Academic Team Friday afternoon. Seven schools are represented with WKU having three student-athletes earn spots on the list, Charlotte and UTEP each have two student-athletes, while FIU, Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee and UAB are highlighted as well.
Student-athletes honored all had at least a 3.5 GPA and featured majors in Business, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Marketing, Psychology, Sport Administration and Visual Studies.
WKU’s
Paige Briggs has been selected to the All-Academic team for the third time, as she holds a 3.93 GPA as a junior majoring in Visual Studies with minors in Graphic Design and Entrepreneurship. Teammate,
Katie Isenbarger earns her second selection in her fifth year as a Recreation and Sport Administration graduate student with a 4.0 GPA.
Nine selections have earned All-Academic honors for the first time this year in Charlotte’s
Annika Wetterstrom (3.72, Psychology) , Florida Atlantic’s
Noelle Stephens (3.94, Psychology) ,
UTEP’s Hande Yetis (3.69, Industrial and Systems Engineering), UAB’s
Alex Kells (3.55, Business Administration, MBA) and WKU’s
Callie Bauer (3.79, Marketing). Among the first-time honorees, four student-athletes boasts perfect 4.0 GPAs in Charlotte’s
Emani’ Foster (Psychology), UTEP’s
Hula Crisostomo (Psychology), FIU’s
Athina Dimitriadis (International Business) and Middle Tennessee’s
Taylor Eisert (Business Administration).
The 2022 Conference USA Volleyball Championship will be held November 18-20 in Bowling Green, Ky.
