2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Region Teams
 
KANSAS CITY – Conference USA placed 10 student-athletes on the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All- South Region Teams, announced by the organization Tuesday. Five landed on the first team, including all three of Rice’s honorees.  
 
The Owls are represented by 2022 C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year, Bella Killgore, 2022 C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, Grace Collins, and First-Team All-C-USA midfielder Delaney Schultz. Schultz earns her third-straight spot on the top squad, and Killgore grabs her third career all-region pick and second-straight on the first team. Collins nabs her second career First-Team All-Region honor after landing on the All-Midwest Region First Team last season with TCU.
 
Killgore led the conference with 86 saves and eight shutouts, making her the first netminder in league history to amass 350 career saves, 45 wins and 25 shutouts. Collins finished as the league leader in points (24), points per game (1.33), assists (eight) and game-winning goals (three) for the regular-season champion Owls. Schultz ranked second in C-USA play with five goals, including matching Collins for the league lead with three game-winning goals.
 
Florida Atlantic midfielder and 2022 C-USA Midfielder of the Year, Gi Krstec, and UTSA defender and 2022 C-USA Soccer Championship Defensive MVP, Kendall Kloza, rounded out the first-team nods. Picking up her third career all-region selection, Krstec scored a career-high five goals and added three assists for a career-high 13 points. Kloza anchored a Roadrunner back line that tied for the league lead with nine shutouts and ranked second in goals-against average (0.95).
 
The Owls and Roadrunners each placed a pair on the second team. FAU’s contingent included forward Bri Austin and defender Amanda Martin, who is named to the second team for the third-straight year. UTSA placed midfielder Anna Sutter and forward Kiran Singh on the second squad. WKU defender Lyric Schmidt rounds out the list of C-USA all-region honorees with her third-straight third-team honor.
