DALLAS – In the final weekend of the regular season, UAB’s Catcher Sierra Frazier earned the Conference USA Softball Player of the Week, while North Texas’ RHP Ashley Peters earned Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday. All Conference USA weekly awards are presented by Surf & Turf Golf.? 
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK 
SIERRA FRAZIER, UAB
JUNIOR, CORONA, CALIF.
Frazier had 11 RBI, five hits and two home runs which included a grand slam during the series sweep on the road over UTEP. The junior also added 13 putouts and two assists from the field. This is Frazier and UAB’s first conference honor this season.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK 
ASHLEY PETERS, NORTH TEXAS
JUNIOR, ROCK ISLAND, ILL.
Peters pitched in all three games in the series win against Marshall at home. She finished with a 1-0 record and a 0.64 ERA. In 11.0 innings pitched, she allowed only one run on eight hits and struck out 10 batters. In the 1-0 victory on Friday, Peters allowed just three hits to 20 batters in six innings in the 1-0 victory over the Herd.
