WBB: Bracket Announced for 2023 C-USA Basketball Championships presented by TotalCare

DALLAS – After winning the regular season championship, Middle Tennessee will be the No. 1 seed at the 2023 Conference USA Basketball Championships presented by TotalCare. The Lady Raiders finished with a conference record of 18-2 and an overall record of 25-4.
 
The Lady Raiders, along with No. 2 WKU (17-12, 14-6 C-USA), No. 3 Rice (22-7, 13-7 C-USA), No. 4 UTEP (19-10, 12-8 C-USA) and No. 5 Louisiana Tech (19-11, 12-8 C-USA), received byes to the quarterfinal round on Thursday, March 9.
 
The remaining six schools will tip off on Wednesday, March 8, with three first round matchups.
 
The event will tip off with No. 8 FIU and No. 9 Charlotte on Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT on Court A. The Panthers went 2-0 this season versus Niners.
 
No. 7 North Texas will then go against No. 10 UAB at 1:30 p.m. CT on Court A. UAB went 2-0 versus North Texas.
 
No. 6 UTSA and No. 11 Florida Atlantic will clash at 2 p.m. CT on Court B to round out the first day of contests. UTSA split the season series with Florida Atlantic.
 
The lone quarterfinal game that is set will be No. 4 UTEP and No. 5 LA Tech. Tip off between the Miners and Lady Techsters is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. CT on Court B. UTEP swept the season series with LA Tech in the regular season.
 
No. 1 Middle Tennessee opens play on Thursday at 11 a.m. CT on Court A as they await the winner of FIU/Charlotte. No. 2 WKU will play Thursday at 1:30 p.m. CT on Court A against the winner of North Texas/UAB and No. 3 Rice will tip off at 2 p.m. CT on Court B versus the winner of UTSA/Florida Atlantic.
 
Coverage for the first round through semifinal games will be available through ESPN+ with the Championship Final aired on CBS Sports Network on Saturday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
