FRISCO – UTSA (12-19) upset Rice (23-7) 62-54 in the quarterfinals of the 2023 C-USA Basketball Championships, presented by Total Care on Thursday afternoon. 
 
Down by 12 at halftime, the Roadrunners went on a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter. Jordyn Jenkins led UTSA, making a crucial jumper, followed by free throws to take the lead (56-54) with 58 seconds left. More than half of her points came in the final frame and the junior finished with 22 and seven rebounds in the win. The Roadrunners take on No. 2 WKU (18-12, 14-6 C-USA) in the semifinals at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN+ on Friday night.
