WSOC: Conference USA Announces All-Academic Team

DALLAS – Conference USA tabbed 11 student-athletes to its 2024 CUSA Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team on Friday. Eight schools are represented with FIU, MTSU and Sam Houston leading the way with two selections a piece, while Kennesaw State, Liberty, NM State, UTEP and WKU are highlighted as well.
 
Three individuals picked up their third career all-academic recognition in FIU’s Reagan Bridges and Camille Sahirul and WKU’s Lilly Rummo. Bridges and Rummo earned their third-straight academic honor with Bridges holding a 3.99 GPA as a senior majoring in Chemistry/Natural & Applied Sciences, while Rummo holds a perfect 4.00 GPA as a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. Sahirul, a fellow graduate student, landed on the all-academic team with a 3.96 majoring in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
 
Four student-athletes grabbed their second all-academic honor in MTSU duo Manon Lebargy (4.00 GPA, Leisure and Support Management Major, Commerce Minor) and Sascha Nielsen (4.00 GPA, Neuroscience Major, Psychology Minor), along with NM State’s Valerie Guha (4.00, Biochemistry) and Sam Houston’s Dana Hanson (4.00, Marketing/Sports Media). Two of the 11 honorees have a GPA of at least 3.90, including nine with perfect 4.00 marks.
 
Additionally, four more selections earned all-academic honors for the first time this year in Kennesaw State’s Charlee Bernal (4.00, Business Management), Liberty’s Halle Engle (4.00 Exercise Science: Therapeutic Science), Sam Houston’s Landri Townsend (4.00, Master of Public Health) and UTEP’s Angelina Amparano (4.00, Biomedical Science).
 
The 2024 CUSA Women’s Soccer Championship will be held November 6-10 in Miami, Fla.
