DALLAS – Jacksonville State’s Jaron Pierre Jr. and Kennesaw State’s Adrian Wooley earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2024-25 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Jaron Pierre Jr., Jax State – R-Sr. – G – New Orleans, La.
Pierre Jr. put on a clinic in the Gamecocks’ two wins over Sun Belt foes en route to CUSA Player of the Week. The redshirt senior guard averaged 29.0 points on 19-37 (51.3 percent) shooting, while adding eight assists and five rebounds. After a dominant 27-point outing on Wednesday in a come-from-behind victory over Georgia State, Pierre Jr. set a new career-high with 31 points in a 71-53 win at Coastal Carolina. His 25.8 points per game leads CUSA and ranks fifth in the country.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Adrian Wooley, Kennesaw State – Fr. – G – Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Wooley earns back-to-back Freshman of the Week honors to begin the 2024-25 campaign after averaging 13.0 points in a 2-0 week for the Owls. In the win over Presbyterian, the freshman guard scored 13 points on 5-9 shooting, 3-4 from deep and added four rebounds and a career-high three steals. He flirted with a triple-double against Bryan College, finishing with 13 points while grabbing a team-high nine boards and dishing out seven assists.
