HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – No. 1 MTSU (27-4) defeated No. 8 UTEP (12-19) 78-50 in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 CUSA Basketball Championships on Wednesday afternoon at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center.
 
Senior forward Courtney Whitson scored all 21 of her points in the second half with six triples and nine rebounds. Jalynn Gregory was just as strong for the Lady Raiders finishing with 18 points four assists while seeing the floor in all 40 minutes.
 
MTSU will take on the winner of the No. 4 LA Tech vs. No. 5 Jax State matchup on Friday at 5:30 p.m. CT in the semifinals.
