DALLAS – Conference USA announced Wednesday that the league has added Tia Randolph as Associate Commissioner for Business Affairs and Drew Maulsby as CUSA’s Associate Commissioner and Chief Revenue Officer. Both will be members of the league’s senior staff leadership group.
Randolph, who will manage the conference’s business office and serve as the liaison to the CUSA Budget Committee, joins the league after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Financial Operations with the Georgia Tech Athletic Association since March of 2021. Randolph will oversee accounts payable, deposits, accounts receivable, deposits, payroll, the general ledger, prepare and manage the league’s operating budget and lead human resource operations and ticketing.
Randolph began her accounting career in 2011 at Albany State University as an accountant in the office of business services processing accounts payable and travel/expenses. She returned to Albany State in October 2018 serving as the athletics business manager (Div. II – NCAA Strategic Alliance Matching Grant) prior to her arrival at Georgia Tech. While with the Golden Rams, Randolph served as the liaison between the offices of accounting services, budgets and contracts, procurement and internal audits.
She holds memberships with NACDA, CABMA, and Women Leaders in College Sports. She is a graduate of Georgia Southern University having earned a masters in sport management (2015). She completed her undergraduate studies in accounting from Albany State University, where she also earned an MPA in human resources management (2013). Additionally, Randolph has owned and operated her own bookkeeping and consulting business since 2010.
Maulsby, who will manage all of the league’s corporate sponsorships and also serve as the sport liaison for baseball, joins Conference USA following his time as the Director of Development and Ticket Sales with Learfield Amplify and Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where he worked with now-Louisiana Tech Vice President and Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey. Maulsby will provide the long-term strategic vision for maximizing CUSA’s exposure and revenue as well as engage within the Dallas market and communities of the league’s membership institutions to continue to grow the CUSA brand.
His contributions at SFA were instrumental in the athletic department’s advancement, focusing on increasing membership and revenue through the Annual Fund, and driving growth and engagement through ticket sales. During his time in Nacogdoches, Maulsby and his team set revenue records for the Purple Lights Fund, and in total ticket sales.
Before joining Learfield and SFA, Maulsby also held a leadership position in ticket sales with The Aspire Group and the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. As the Manager of Ticket Sales and service with UNI in 2018 & 2019, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the overall ticketing and game day experience for fans.
