Charli Crowson earned Conference USA Volleyball Player of the Week honors.
CUSA Offensive Player of the Week – Kaylee Cox - Sr. – Flower Mound, Texas
Cox earned MVP of the Alyssa Cavanaugh Classic after recording 49 kills with a .494 hitting percentage across three matches and nine sets. The senior outside hitter posted a double-double against Arkansas State with 17 kills and 13 digs. She had a season-high 22 kills against Austin Peay on Saturday. Cox also finished the weekend with a total of 22 digs, eight blocks and four service aces.
CUSA Defensive Player of the Week –Izzy Van De Wiele, WKU – So. – Bettendorf, Iowa
Van De Wiele’s defensive prowess helped lead the Hilltoppers to a three-match sweep over the weekend with a team-high 11 blocks (1.22 blocks per set). The Bettendorf, Iowa, native recorded five blocks against Eastern Illinois and then posted four blocks against Austin Peay. Van De Wiele also chipped in a total of 17 kills with a .324 hitting percentage.
CUSA Co-Setter of the Week – Mattie Gantt, UTEP – Jr. – Aledo, Texas
Gantt had a standout performance over the weekend, helping UTEP achieve a perfect 3-0 record with victories over UTRGV (3-1), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-2), and a commanding 3-0 sweep against Texas State. She earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after recording 65 assists, averaging 5.42 assists per set. The junior setter registered her second double-double of the season against Texas State with 25 assists and 11 digs. Teaming up with
Kalia Kohler, they combined for 129 assists (10.75 assists per set).
CUSA Co-Setter of the Week – Kalia Kohler, UTEP – So. – Alpine, Utah
Kohler was an UTEP Southwest Showdown All-Tournament Team member after leading the team to a 3-0 record, recording 64 assists (5.33 assists per set). Kohler, along with
Mattie Gantt directed the Miners offense to a .282 hitting percentage. The Alpine, Utah, native posted her third double-double of the season against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 27 assists and 10 digs.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Charli Crowson, Liberty – College Station, Texas
Crowson continues to shine in Liberty's modified 5-1 setter system, averaging 6.17 assists per set, leading the Flames to a 2-1 record over the weekend. In Friday's five-set win over Oakland, Crowson dished out a career-high 34 assists, adding two aces and eight digs. Her 34 assists were the most by a Liberty freshman setter since the 2021 season. Crowson also added a total of 17 digs, averaging 1.42 digs per set.
