XC: Liberty’s Zealand Earns All-America Honors with 21st-Place Finish

DALLAS – Concluding a dominant season, Liberty’s Allie Zealand crossed the NCAA Championship finish line on Saturday morning with a program-record time of 19:06.8, good for 21st-place. The sophomore collected her first All-America honor on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, competing against 262 of the best collegiate runners.

This is the second year in a row that Liberty has represented Conference USA in the Women’s 6k NCAA Championship meet following Adelyn Fairley’s 77th-place finish last season.

Zealand’s performance is the highest finish from a CUSA women’s competitor since 2020 when Rice’s Grace Forbes finished 19th overall. In her sophomore stint, Zealand wraps up this season as a three-time CUSA Athlete of the Week recipient, CUSA champion, First-Team All-Region honoree and a first-time All-American.
