BKB: Nineteen Conference USA Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District

DALLAS – Conference USA placed 19 student-athletes on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, announced by the organization Tuesday.

The selections are highlighted by MTSU’s Jalynn Gregory and NM State’s Molly Kaiser, who were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2025.

FIU and Liberty women’s teams placed the most members on the Academic All-District team with four apiece. LA Tech boasts three on the list, while MTSU, NM State and WKU each had one.

Jax State’s Mason Nicholson, Kennesaw State’s Delaney Heard, Liberty’s Colin Porter and NM State’s Zawdie Jackson, who were selected to the CUSA Men’s Basketball All-Academic team earlier this month, earned a spot on the 2024-25 Academic All-District team. Kennesaw State’s Frankquon Sherman was also highlighted.

It marks the third-straight year to earn recognition for Liberty’s Emma Hess, while it is the second consecutive year for Porter to be selected.
