DALLAS – Conference USA announced its postseason award recipients on Thursday. Jacksonville State bowlers
Annalise OBryant and
Erin Klemencic were named Bowler and Freshman of the Year respectively. Arkansas State’s
Kaylee Back received Newcomer of the Year honors. Wichita State Head Coach
Holly Harris earned Coach of the Year. The awards are voted on by the league’s head coaches. In addition to superlatives, Conference USA announced its 2025 All-Conference and All-Rookie teams ahead of the NCAA Championship. The teams were selected based on the NTCA Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI) following the regular season and conference tournament.
CUSA Bowler of the Year – Annalise OBryant, Jax State, So., Ball Ground, Ga.
OBryant was the No. 2 player in the NTCA PCPI at 98.486%. She averaged 211.7 in traditional play with a 54.9% season strike percentage and has a 216.5 Baker average. The sophomore Gamecock was the anchor in 257 of 350 10
th frames in Baker play with a 56.8% strike percentage in the 10
th and a 91.4% fill percentage. She earned MVP recognition at the SFA Ladyjack Classic with a 230 average.
CUSA Freshman of the Year – Erin Klemencic, Jax State, Fr., Powder Springs, Ga.
Klemencic is the highest ranked freshman in the PCPI at fifth with a score of 95.671%. She finished second at the USBC Sectional. The Powder Springs native is a three-time CUSA Newcomer of the Month and has earned All-Tournament honors at North Carolina A&T’s Stallings Invitational, Sacred Heart’s Northeast Classic and the CUSA Championship this season.
CUSA Newcomer of the Year – Kaylee Back, Arkansas State, Jr., Derby, Kan.
Back, a transfer from Oklahoma Christian, bowled 50 traditional games this season and averaged 203.5 pins. Over half of her games were above 200, including a high of 279. She finished inside the top-20 in six of nine regular season events, including top-10 finishes on five occasions. The junior Redwolf earned MVP honors at the Destination Orlando Tournament, CUSA Newcomer of the Month honors in October and All-Academic Team honors. As of March 16, Back is ranked 17
th in the nation with a PCPI of 91.244%.
CUSA Coach of the Year – Holly Harris, Wichita State
Harris led Wichita State to an 84-36 overall record and a CUSA Championship in the program’s first season of NCAA competition. The Shockers won the Columbia 300 Saints Invite, hosted by Maryville, and the Mid-Winter Invitational, hosted by A-State. The team also captured runner-up finishes at the Penguin Classic, hosted by Youngstown State, and the Big Red Invited, hosted by Nebraska. Entering the CUSA Championships as the fourth seed, Wichita State won seven consecutive matches in the contender’s bracket to claim the title and earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Championship.

Ashtyn Woods and
Sara Duque Jimenez had impressive seasons in their first year of NCAA competition. Jimenez ranks first in CUSA in individual frame fill percentage (90.1%), while Woods ranks in the top-10 in CUSA for individual scoring average, traditional format, individual frame-fill percentage and traditional format. Wichita State also saw
Mary Orf named to the All-CUSA Second Team and
Paige Wagner earn third-team honors.
CUSA runner-up Jacksonville State also had two student-athletes earn All-CUSA First Team honors in this year’s CUSA Bowler of the Year, Annalise OBryant, and CUSA Freshman of the Year, Erin Klemencic. In addition to her other two other honors, Klemencic also notched a spot on the All-CUSA Rookie Team. Fellow Gamecocks
Dannielle Henderson earned second-team honors,
Anna Warkel earned third-team honors, and
Keira Magsam and
Melia Mitskavich earned rookie-team honors.
Youngstown State’s
Jade Cote garnered first-team honors and ranks first in CUSA in individual scoring average (21.359 avg/frame). Cote also earned MVP honors at the Mid-Winter Invitational and is a two-time CUSA Bowler of the Month. Her teammate
Madyson Marx also earned a second-team nod.
Completing the All-Conference Second Team was A-State’s
Maggie Thoma and Vanderbilt’s
Isabel Allen. Thoma ranks No. 2 in Baker format in individual scoring in CUSA. Allen ranks No. 2 in individual frame fill percentage in traditional format games, received CUSA Co-Bowler of the Month honors in January, as well as CUSA All-Academic Team honors.
