Alec Oglesby and Missouri State’s
Trey Williams Jr. earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Alec Oglesby, MTSU – Gr. – G – Lawrenceville, Ga.
Oglesby was selected CUSA Player of the Week as he led the Blue Raiders (9-5, 3-0 CUSA) to two conference wins and a tight loss to No. 8 Houston. The graduate from Georgia tallied 12 points on four made threes on the road against the Cougars on Monday. In the first game of the new year, Oglesby scored a career-high 25 points against LA Tech. He knocked down eight three-pointers, the most by a CUSA player this season. His eight triples were part of a program record 22 made threes, which is also third most in CUSA history.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Trey Williams Jr., Missouri State – Fr. – G – Centalia, Ill.
Williams Jr. claims his first weekly honor of his young career after guiding Missouri State (9-5, 3-0 CUSA) to three wins to open league play. The freshman guard scored in double figures in all three victories, averaging 12.7 points and 3.0 assists. In the Bears’ 24-point win over the Miners on Friday, Williams dropped 15 points with four made triples and four assists. Mo State is 3-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign.
