DALLAS – WKU’s Teagan Moore and Sam Houston’s Jacob Walker earned Conference USA Men’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Teagan Moore, WKU – R-So. – G – Dry Ridge, Ky.
Moore secures his first CUSA Player of the Week honor after leading the Hilltoppers (16-11, 9-7 CUSA) to a perfect 2-0 week on the road, including an upset win over previously undefeated Liberty. The redshirt sophomore guard averaged 24.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in the two wins. In Wednesday’s overtime win at Delaware, Moore finished with a game-high 27 points on 9-14 shooting and an 8-9 effort from the free throw line. He then popped off for 21 points at Liberty, snapping its 17-game win streak. Moore currently ranks second in CUSA in scoring (18.3) and third in field goal percentage (51.5).
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Jacob Walker, Sam Houston – Fr. – G – Memphis, Tenn.
Walker earns his second Freshman of the Week award of the season after pushing Sam Houston (19-8, 11-5 CUSA) past MTSU and Jax State at home last week. Since taking over the starting point guard duties, Walker has continued to shine. In Wednesday's win over MTSU, the rookie guard scored 20 points on 50 percent shooting and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe. He followed that up with 17 points, including a pivotal three-point play that put the Bearkats up six with under a minute remaining against the Gamecocks. He was perfect from the line again on Saturday making him 15-15 on the week.
