Player of the Week – Devin Elam, NM State – Senior – OF – Long Beach, Calif.
Elam delivered a power-filled week for the Aggies (3-3), providing timely pop with her bat in three of NM State’s wins. She homered in victories over UMass Lowell, UT Arlington and Utah Valley, including a two-homer performance against UVU that proved decisive in a 7-6 triumph. In the opener against UMass Lowell, Elam blew the game open with a three-run blast and roped a two-run double in the following frame as she scored or knocked in seven of the team’s eight runs. That evening against UTA, she provided the eventual game-winning runs with a two-run shot in to put the Aggies ahead 11-8. On Saturday, Elam put NM State on the board with a solo homer in the fourth and sparked a three-run comeback in the final inning with a leadoff home run.

Pitcher of the Week – Erica Houge, WKU – Sophomore – Collins, Iowa
Houge led the Tops to their best start since 2021 (4-1), going 3-0 with a flawless ERA, 16 strikeouts, no walks and a .153 opponent batting average. In that same game, she only needed 63 pitches to complete the win.
