WBB: Missouri State Defeats SFA, Advances in NCAA Tournament

AUSTIN – Missouri State (23-12) advances to the first round of the NCAA Tournament after defeating No. 16 SFA (25-10) 85-75 in the first four round at the Moody Center.
 
Mo State collects its 20th NCAA Tournament victory in program history and has won an NCAA Tournament game in four straight appearances. Kaemyn Bekemeier notched her 10th double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Maiesha Washington made a huge impact for the Lady Bears tallying 18 points, six rebounds and four assists, while shooting 9-14 from the field. Lainie Douglas posted her second consecutive double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds along with three blocks. Kendall Brueggen was just shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds coming off the bench.
 
Missouri State is moving on to the first round and will take on No. 1 Texas on Friday, March 20th at 3:00 p.m. CT.
