DALLAS – Missouri State’s Lainie Douglas and Liberty’s Ify Nwaobi earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2025-26 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
 
CUSA Player of the Week – Lainie Douglas, Mo State – So. – F – Overland Park, Kan.
Douglas earns her first CUSA Player of the Week honor after averaging 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game across a 2-0 week for Missouri State (18-11, 10-6 CUSA). The sophomore forward poured in a game-high 20 points, pulled down 6 rebounds and blocked 4 shots in 21 minutes in Mo State’s 60-55 win over Sam Houston on Tuesday. She followed that performance up with adding her second 20-point performance of the weekend with a game-high 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to lead the Bears to a big 69-38 win over FIU on Thursday. Douglas was first in CUSA in scoring average (20.0), second in field goal percentage (69.6%), third in blocks per game (3.0) and tied for fifth in rebounds per game (9.5) for the week.
 
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Ify Nwaobi, Liberty – F – Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Nwaobi averaged 8.5 points per game while leading the Lady Flames16-12, (10-7 CUSA) in rebounding (9.5 rpg) and blocked shots (3.5 bpg) during a 2-0 week. She posted nine points, a team-high 10 rebounds and a career-high five blocks in a win against Middle Tennessee on Thursday. Her defensive efforts helped Liberty hold the Blue Raiders to a season-low 37 points. Nwaobi then went for eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks during Saturday's 60-54 win over WKU.
