DALLAS – Conference USA tabbed 11 student-athletes to its 2026 CUSA Softball All-Academic Team Friday afternoon. Seven schools are represented, led by Jax State, Kennesaw State, Liberty and LA Tech, each with two selections.
Four individuals garnered their second-straight all-academic recognition in FIU’s
Kally Meredith, Jax State’s
Morgan Nowakowski, Liberty’s
Paige Doerr and LA Tech’s
Allie Furr.
Meredith, in addition to boasting a 3.97 GPA in psychology, leads CUSA and ranks 11
th nationally in batting average (.471) and 19
th in hits (74). Nowakowski paces Division I with 22 doubles and owns a perfect 4.00 GPA in healthcare.
Ten of the 11 honorees have a GPA of 3.91 or better, including five with 4.0 marks in Nowakowski, Doerr, Kennesaw State’s
Ana Gore, Liberty’s
Camden Anders and LA Tech’s
Allie Floyd.
The team also includes Jax State infielder
Amber Reed (3.93, Accounting), who ranks as the ninth-hardest batter to strike out in the country with just three punchouts in 112 at-bats, and NM State two-way star
Faith Aragon (3.42, Civil Engineering). Aragon is 20-8 with a 2.54 ERA and 215 strikeouts, which ranks fourth in the nation. She’s also hitting .377 with 26 RBI and 40 runs.
The 2026 CUSA Softball Championship will be held May 6-9 in Newark, Del.
