DALLAS – Conference USA announced its beach volleyball all-conference and superlative awards on Friday, voted on by the league’s nine head coaches. UAB’s top pair Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant were named Pair of the Year, while Tulane’s head coach Eyal Zimet earned Coach of the Year honors. Florida Atlantic’s Ava Koehl was tabbed as the Freshman of the Year.

The duo of Haas and Stant was one of the most dominant pairs in Conference USA, finishing with a 29-8 record on Court 1. Their 29 wins set a new UAB record for a single-season duo, and they consistently delivered in the top spot against elite competition. As the anchor of the Blazers’ lineup, Haas and Stant were instrumental in UAB’s undefeated conference season and program-best 26 wins, establishing themselves as the premier pair in the league. Haas and Stant were also recently named to the AVCA All-America Second Team.
 
Koehl finished tied for second on the Sandy Owls’ team with a 20-15 record, including a season-best 16-12 record on court two, in addition to going 4-1 on court three. She produced a team second-best 20-15 pair record alongside Olivia Strandberg. The freshman finished 3-1 during the CUSA Championship, sweeping No. 8 Tarleton State and No. 3 FIU, while earning a three-set win over No. 2 UAB. During the regular season, Koehl earned ranked wins against No. 6 TCU, No. 7 Florida State and twice against North Florida, who were ranked No. 16 and No. 17 respectively.
 
Zimet guided Tulane to its first conference title in program history as the Green Wave went 4-0 at the CUSA Championship. Tulane’s four wins included three 3-0 sweeps to conclude the event with each coming over the top two seeds. Two wins were against No. 19 Florida Atlantic, moving Tulane's ranked victory total to three on the season (No. 19 Washington). The Wave went 26-13 on the season for its sixth-straight season of 20-plus wins. Tulane also had 16 sweeps this season, which marked a new program record.
