SB: Bracket Announced for 2026 CUSA Softball Championship

DALLAS – Following the league’s final regular-season games, the field is set for the 2026 Conference USA Softball Championship. Jax State earned the top seed after ending the year with a 24-3 mark in league play.
 
The Gamecocks (42-13), along with No. 2 WKU (37-12, 19-8 CUSA) received byes to day two of the tournament on Thursday, May 7, while No. 3 Liberty (26-27, 18-9 CUSA) and No. 4 Delaware (30-22, 17-10 CUSA) advanced to the double-elimination portion of Wednesday’s games.
 
This year’s championship features the top eight squads and begins with two single-elimination contests on Wednesday at the Delaware Softball Diamond in Newark, Del.
 
The event gets underway at Noon ET with No. 5 NM State (26-25, 16-11 CUSA) versus No. 8 Sam Houston (29-26, 13-14 CUSA). The Bearkats took two-of-three from the Aggies in Huntsville March 13-15.
 
The action continues at 2:30 p.m. ET with No. 6 FIU (34-17, 16-11 CUSA) taking on No. 7 LA Tech (29-23, 15-12 CUSA). The Panthers won the regular-season series with a pair of key road wins in Ruston April 10-12.
 
Delaware will face the winner between NM State and Sam Houston at 5 p.m. ET Wednesday, and Liberty awaits the winner between FIU and LA Tech at 7:30 p.m. ET.
