Championship Game Press Release - Participating Teams

After winning the West Division with a 38-35 victory over Marshall, Tulsa will make its third appearance in the C-USA Championship Game, and first as host. The event is slated for Saturday, December 6 at H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane will meet East Carolina as the Pirates make their first trip to the league championship game.

UCF and Houston have hosted the first three championship games, played in front of record-setting crowds.

Tulsa claimed the C-USA inaugural crown in 2005. In 2007, UCF hosted the game for the second time in three seasons and earned its first championship. Houston claimed the championship game title in 2006.

C-USA TIEBREAKER
Home field for the C-USA Championship Game will be awarded to the team that posts the highest regular season winning percentage against conference opposition. The first tiebreaker is the winner of a head-to-head match-up. If the two teams did not play during the regular season, the team with the highest BCS ranking would receive the nod.
