2005-06 Memphis Men's Basketball Preview
If people see Memphis head coach John Calipari this summer, they may see the Tiger mentor with a huge smile on his face. The reason? For the first time in his six years at Memphis, every Tiger player that was supposed to return is coming back. In other words, no one left early for the professional ranks. The Tigers return seven letterwinners, including a duo of experience in senior Rodney Carney and sophomore Darius Washington Jr. Senior Waki Williams and sophomore Joey Dorsey -- both of whom came on strong late in the season -- also return.

2005-06 Rice Men's Basketball Preview
This season's Rice Owls basketball team will be vastly different than last year's squad. Missing are two of the top-10 scorers in Rice history in Michael Harris and Jason McKrieth. Harris finished his career as Rice's all-time leading scorer and rebounder, while McKrieth concluded his career as the Owls' seventh all-time leading scorer. Point production this season will certainly be more evenly distributed. Instead of two guys (Harris and McKrieth) averaging 35 points, don't be surprised if the Owls have four or five players averaging 10 or more points per game. Full Preview

Regardless of the terminology used, one can be sure that the wanted and desired results won't happen instantaneously. Full Preview

Back in August, it was apparent that the 2005-06 season would offer plenty of change for the Tulane Green Wave basketball program. Tulsa basketball is in transition. 2005-06 UCF Men's Basketball Preview
After taking a quick glance at the UCF Golden Knights roster, it is hard to imagine that a team that returns seven letterwinners from last season's 24-9 squad could have a new look. Likewise, it is hard to believe that a team that loses three starters who helped guide it to two consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament would be unchanged in their absence. Full Preview
