Irving, Texas - The University of Tulsa had a total of 10 players earn 2005 all-conference football honors, as announced today by Conference USA. With 10 players on the three all-conference teams, Tulsa and Southern Miss, had the second-most players earning all-league honors behind UTEP's 11 honorees. The Hurricane also had two all-freshman team seelctions.

Tulsa was led by first-team all-C-USA selections ---- tight end Garrett Mills, offensive guard Jesse Stoneham, kick return specialist Ashlan Davis, all seniors, and junior defensive back Bobby Blackshire.

Mills is the nation's leading tight end receiver and leads Conference USA in receiving yards per game with a 93.7-yard average. He leads the Hurricane with 75 receptions for 1,037 yards and eight touchdowns.

Davis tied a 31-year old NCAA record with his sixth career kickoff return for a touchdown this season. He had 29 returns for 647 yards, including a long of 96 yards against Rice.

With Stoneham's selection it marks the third straight year that the Hurricane has had an offensive lineman named first-team all-conference. Blackshire ranks second on the Tulsa defense with 90 tackles.

Second-team honors for the Hurricane went to sophomore linebacker Nelson Coleman, who leads Tulsa in tackles with 96 stops, and junior cornerback Nick Graham were Tulsa's second-team selections. Graham has 55 stops on the season, including 40 solos, and is ranked seventh nationally with five interceptions.

Senior running back Uril Parrish, who gained 851 all-purpose yards on 624 yards rushing and 227 yards receiving, was named to the third-team on offense. He was joined by junior offensive tackle Jeff Perrett, who has started 33 consecutive games at right tackle for the Hurricane. Defensively, senior end Brandon Lohr and junior linebacker Nick Bunting earned third-team merits as well. Lohr has 35 stops on the year, while4 Bunting is fourth on the team with 70 tackles and 78.5 stops for -41 yards.

Tulsa also had two players named to the C-USA All-Freshman team in the likes of true freshman defensive end Moton Hopkins and red-shirt freshman cornerback Roy Roberts. Both players saw action in all 11 games for the Hurricane. Hopkins had 21 tackles and 2.5 stops for -19 yards, while Roberts tallied 28 tackles, four pass breakups and two interceptions.

Conference USA will announce its Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Year, as well as the Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year on Wednesday, November 30.
