June 9, 2008
The Owls have qualified to play in Omaha for the 2008 College World Series, which will be held June 14 - June 25, 2008. The NCAA will announce the final schedule of games on later this evening, but the Owls will play the winner of tonight's Arizona State-Fresno State Super Regional.
Rice will receive 700 tickets for the first two games and only 350 tickets for the next 1-3 games and then 700 tickets if we make the championship series. With 250 tickets going to players, coaches and staff, it only leaves about 100 tickets for the middle games for donors and season ticket holders. Therefore, if you receive tickets to the first two games, you may not receive tickets for the next 1-3 games, but you will receive tickets for the Championship Series should the Owls advance that far.
Orders for tickets will be taken today from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 713 522-OWLS. If you receive tickets, you will be contacted Monday evening after 5:00 pm. by email or phone.
