Five Staff Promotions Announced At Conference USA

IRVING, Texas – Five Conference USA staff members have been promoted, while two new interns have joined the league’s communications staff.

Keisha Dunlap joined the Conference staff in September of 2004 as Assistant Director of Championships and worked her way up to Director of Sports Services in 2006, Assistant Commissioner for Sports Services in August 2008, Associate Commissioner in 2013 and now Senior Associate Commissioner in 2016. Dunlap's primary responsibilities include serving as the Conference liaison to the Athletics Directors and Senior Woman Administrators and the primary sport administrator for women's basketball and women's swimming and diving.
 
A native of Champaign, Illinois, Dunlap was a track and field student-athlete and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Eastern Illinois University in 2000 and a master's degree in physical education/sports administration from EIU in 2002. Dunlap is finishing up her four-year term on the NCAA Softball Selection Committee, serving as Chair for the 2017 season. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA) and for a local YMCA branch in Dallas.  She is also an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA). 
 
Two members of Dunlap’s Sports Services staff, Clifton Douglass and Kelly Ninemire, were also promoted. Douglass enters his second year at Conference USA and will now serve as Assistant Commissioner for Sports Services. He has oversight of men’s basketball, as well as men’s and women’s soccer and women’s golf, and will serve as the contact for game management and officiating matters for the conference. A 2008 graduate of Alcorn State, Douglass was a basketball student-athlete and served as team captain two years. He spent more than three years as the Sports Management Administrator at the Southwestern Athletic Conference. He has additional athletics experience working event operations at the U.S. Open in Flushing, New York, and a project assistant at the National Spectator Sports Safety and Security in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, while he finished his master’s degree in sports management from league member Southern Miss.
 
Ninemire was promoted to Senior Director of Sports Services and will serve as the sport administrator for softball, volleyball and women's tennis, and will also assist with the league’s Senior Woman Administrators.  She is beginning her first season on the NCAA Softball Rules Committee. She also holds the position of administrator for the Men's Basketball Officiating Consortium and Curtis Shaw, men's basketball officiating coordinator of the Big 12, C-USA, Southland and Ohio Valley Conferences. In this role, she is responsible for reviewing game contracts, coordinating schedules, verification of all game assignments and working directly with athletic administrators and coaches from institutions from all four conferences in the consortium.
 
Ninemire started at Conference USA as a sports services intern in June of 2009 and was promoted to full-time as the Sports Services and Officiating Assistant in July of 2011. A native of Prosper, Texas, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of New Mexico in 2008. She played softball and was a pitcher at the University of Arkansas in 2004-05, Odessa College in 2005-06 and University of New Mexico in 2006-2008. Kelly completed her Master's in Business Administration in December 2011 from the University of Texas System.
 
Jordan Foreman has been promoted to Director of Multimedia with oversight of CUSA TV and all other video and social media efforts for the Conference. Foreman initially joined the staff in August 2014. Foreman serves as a liaison between the C-USA office, school video producers, and television production partners.  He and his team produced “C-USA Showcase” which was nominated for a Collegiate Sports Media Award for Outstanding Program Series in both 2015 and 2016. A 2007 graduate of North Texas, Foreman is no stranger to Conference USA programs having spent five seasons as the Director of New Media at his alma mater as well as a year with the Louisiana Tech football program as a video coordinator. His role with North Texas included producing highlight content and video board productions.  Foreman has worked on a variety of projects, including as an associate producer on the award-winning “Beyond The Green,” which chronicled the Mean Green’s 2013 football season and Heart of Dallas Bowl victory.  Foreman also has freelance experience with the Dallas Cowboys, working on the game day video board and event presentation team for three years and will serve his second season as technical director for the “Cowboys OT” live post game show in 2016.
 
Taylor Brasher joined Conference USA as a communications assistant in August of 2015 and has moved to full-time in the newly-created position of Digital and Social Media Coordinator. A native of nearby Argyle, Texas, Brasher earned a bachelor's degree in youth and community studies with a minor in kinesiology-sports management from the University of Texas. While at UT, he worked as an operations assistant for the Longhorn women’s soccer team. Brasher also worked closely with the UIL, assisting with various tasks around Texas High School State Championships. Prior to coming to C-USA, he worked a year at the University of North Texas as a communications assistant for the Mean Green volleyball and softball teams.
 
Two interns have been added to the C-USA communications staff. Brock McKee joins the C-USA staff to serve as the primary media contact for volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s swimming and softball, while assisting in a number of other areas. McKee was most recently a student at Texas Tech University, where he worked in the Athletics Communications Office during his senior year. He served as the media contact for the nationally recognized men’s and women’s tennis teams, while also working as a student assistant for football, men’s basketball, volleyball and baseball events. While in Lubbock, he completed an internship in marketing and special events with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
 
Samson Bekure comes on board as the primary media contact for men’s and women’s soccer, golf and tennis, while providing support in other areas. Bekure just completed a one-year internship with SMU’s Athletic Public Relations Department. He was the main contact for men’s tennis, while assisting with football and women’s basketball. A 2015 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he worked in the sports communications office for three seasons. During his tenure as a student assistant, he worked game operations and handled statistics for a number of sports and was the primary contact for women’s tennis his senior year. Bekure also occasionally contributed stories to Bearcats’ publications. As a student, he assisted or volunteered for the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Florence Freedom, the MLB All-Star game in Cincinnati and the 2015 NCAA Men’s First Four in Dayton, Ohio.
