SWIM: Dec. 6 Athlete of the Week

IRVING, Texas – After posting the third-fastest time in the individual medley this season in Conference USA, Marshall senior Emma Lockyer earns C-USA Swimmer of the Week honors. She is the second member of the Thundering Herd to be honored this season.
 
SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
EMMA LOCKYER, Marshall, Sr., Thunder Bay, Ontario
Lockyer’s 400 IM time of 4:18.60 qualifies under the NCAA’s “B” standard and is the third-fastest in Conference USA this season. The mark is also Lockyer’s career-best, as were her times in the 200 IM (2:04.12) and 100 Breast (1:05.77).  These times came in the Tennessee Invitational, which included seventh-ranked Tennessee, 21st-ranked North Carolina and 29th-ranked Duke.
