?DALLAS – Georgia State, the Conference USA champion, and Florida Atlantic will represent C-USA in the 2022 NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball Championship, announced today by the NCAA.
The Panthers (26-11) earned the No. 10 seed and will face Grand Canyon (14-14) in a first-round game on May 4 at 4 p.m. CT. The winner will advance to the second round May 6 against the winner of TCU/A & M Corpus Christi match.
Eighth-seeded Florida Atlantic (22-10) will face Stanford on May 4 at 9 a.m. The winner will advance to play the winner of Southern California/UT-Martin on May 6.
The first round of the championship will be held Wednesday, May 4 with all 16 participants facing off in a single elimination bracket. The advancing eight teams will compete Friday through Sunday, May 6-8 in a double elimination format. The championship will take place in Gulf Shores, Ala., hosted by the City of Gulf Shores, University of Alabama at Birmingham and Orange Beach Sports and Events.

No. 15 Georgia State will be making its second appearance in the NCAA Championship and first since 2016. The Panthers defeated No. 13 FIU 3-0 Saturday afternoon in the Conference USA title match to earn the league's automatic bid. Georgia State knocked off top-seeded FAU to advance to the finals.
For No. 10 Florida Atlantic, this marks the Owls' first NCAA berth in school history.
